We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated and passionate candidate for the post of Food and Textiles Technician to support the Design Technology department teaching staff. This is a varied role involving the preparation of materials and resources in advance of lessons and supporting within lessons. You will be responsible for the Health and Safety maintenance checks of the workshop equipment and ordering and maintaining stock levels. Training to use the machinery will be provided. An interest in supporting students in lessons or instructing small groups would be an advantage. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate independence, resourcefulness, great commitment and enthusiasm alongside the willingness to work as part of a team.
